A Joint Compression & Watermarking Algorithm for Color Images

چکیده

Watermarking is highly demanding in recent times for the protection of multimedia data in network environment from illegal copying, violation of copyright, authentication etc, while compression of multimedia signals is essential to save storage space and transmission time. It is also well known the importance and effectiveness of compression techniques to store transmit and retrieve visual information. However, the creation or development of a joint compression and watermarking framework for images has yet to be explored. Experiments are performed to verify the robustness of the proposed algorithm. The results show that the proposed algorithm is superior to other algorithm in terms of providing a high PSNR. It is also shown that the proposed algorithm is highly robust against different types of attack.
